I was saddened with the fact that blogging and any other site for that matter is now under surf control in our office. I don't have access to my blog anymore and I can't even surf the net. It's so boring considering that the leads we are having are so recycled. It is so depressing. But what can I do? I just need to live with it. This means I can't write as much post as I want any more. Well, I have a lot of pictures to upload but i'll just do it when I have the chance. Details of my cdo trip will follow. Hahay!

Well, I'm here in my neighbor's house with good ol' friends. As of press time, we are talking over booze and having a great time. It's been 6 months since we last gathered (well, yah I went home 2 months ago, but not will the casts!). We are just having a simple gathering of sorts to update ourselves with the things that are happening in our lives (a reunion?) Cheap thrills, you might call it, but I really appreciate the company of these guys. They help me feel grounded and reminisce my good ol' life before I enterd into the complicated scenario of corporate life. I guess, I need to cut this discussion short, lest I would be a party pooper (not again!). Here are some pics fresh from the feeds....
Iven, MJ, Ken, Jonas, Cacai and Coco... candid pic daw! Cacai and Jonas... back to back love birds..haha Ok...now take a pose! Wow Co, iba ka! MJ ano ba? haha! Moi and Coco...my girl best friend Goth Lovers... Lovers unlimited...Carlo and Diane Coco shobarista! Contemplative Iven... So pensive.. What are you thinking?

I got an incident report yesterday which earned me some coaching from my TL for browsing non-business related sites. Apparently, I.T. was doing some spot check-up on our computers and they were able to get a screen shot of a blog that I was checking on. The good thing was that it was not escalated as a minor offense and was just treated as a warning. I decided to be more cautious and had to device a new way in making my posts, so as to not jeopardize my regularization which is this coming August 27 and get a disciplinary action as well for committing the same act.
Whereas before I would carelessly open websites and blogs, now I would need to be discreet about it. For my posts, I have to write it in my wordpad then save it as a draft in one of my application and open it in the cafe for posting. It would be a bit tedious but blogging has become part of my daily activity sans it would be a drab day at work. I have observed that since I started blogging I have been more productive because it relieves me from stress. I was able to share my rants and ramblings from the complexities of my daily existence. I had more sales because instead of being emotionally down, I opt to express it on my blog and that allows me to rationalize the things that are happening, thus, keeping me sane and sober.
At this point in time, I'm becoming paranoid that I.T. would just barge in my computer and I would be caught accessing sites that are not business related. That would surely earn me a higher sanction since I have already been warned. Oh bummer, this would surely make my life boring. I can't imagine myself not surfing during work because sometimes when the leads are so recycled all I could do to amuse myself is either write or check other people's blog to further expand my horizon. Considering that I have a very nocturnal job and that my life has been distant to the real world, this could have been my only consolation. But no, I just can't disobey rules again simply because I don't own my company. Haha! Oh well, there are still ways for me to update my blog. I'll just have to do it the harder way, but I don't mind it.

20 days before I commemorate his 1st anniversary, he was gone. All I could do now is lament for his loss and indeed he had served me well over the short time that we were together. He was my confidant, my access to my inner self and the outside world. He was a witness to all the wonderful things and also the heartbreaking events of my life. He stored so much information of my ever complicated love life. He was trustworthy and kept vivid pictures of the things that happened during the short time that we were together. He was my N6260 cellphone, stolen at a bar in Cebu by some hip-hop juvenile. I offer this post in memoriam of my ever loyal cellphone.

I arrived late for work because I was at UP earlier for the annual Cook-out sa UP activity. I remembered 10 years ago, I was one of the performers for the said activity. I was more physically fit then and had a chance to be part in more than 5 performances. I was dancing for LIGAYA (the organization I co-founded), UP Amihan (the organization for students from Mindanao), UPSTAGE (my theater and dance group), UP Cebu Junior Jaycees, UP United Forces of the Centurion (my batch organiztion), UP Dormer's Association (another org I co-founded) and UP Math Majors' Circle. Just imagine how tired I would get right after cook-out, but that's student life!
The 2006 Cook-out sa UP was far more advance in terms of lighting and stage decoration. The production was faster, albeit there were some parts which were a bit boring. The advancement of technology really helped made the event more festive and savvy. It was far more different during our time when everything had to be so baroque and outdated. But then again, if I had to compare, our production numbers were of better quality since we really put our heart in the presentation (not that they are not as passionate as us) since it was the only thing we could offer at that time (no projector screens, fancy stage, ramp and what-have-yous). I do like the way they have their presentations, like last year, they have a medley of dance numbers from different organizations. It was very fast paced and the hosts need not introduce each organiztion since they prepared an LP with the songs and the voice-over introduction in it.
However, the main highlight for the event is always the Belboys presentation. It's the striptease that they had to do annualy that brings the crowd to scream and have fun. Suddenly, I can't stop myself from giving out a big smile at the sight of cute frat boys doing a sexy dance and stripteasing. Oh G, it was a wonderful sight to behold! (I just can't control myself!). People of all gender (men, women, gays, lesbians,et. al.) gathered near the stage to watch the annual presentation. I had to chance to really stand on the front center stage, so I had the best view in town (haha!). I was taking a video of the BelBoys presentation and I was confused either to check things on my cam or see them with my naked eye (naked eye for a naked bod). They were slowly taking their shirts off and moments later, they unveiled their sexy body in their Bench underwear. I can't help but shout at the sight, then they were went near the audience and dance like macho dancers. On their sexy bodies were panty liners that was free for the audience to get, I was able to get the one on Clei's abs (naughty!). The scene stealer for this year was a cute boy named Cliff (last year was Clei), he was the crowd favorite with his lean boyish body and his enticing dance moves. It seems like their 5 minutes presentation lasted forever (it still lingers in my mind!).
After the Belboys presentation, I went to their tambayan to talk to some of my contemporaries. I was with T-dex and Gabby, and I met Neil Carmona, Archie Fine Arts, Sabio, and some other guys from my time. It was fun meeting up with them, although things have really changed a lot (especially our physique). Thirty minutes past 1 a.m., I hailed a cab for work with a full smile on my lips. It was worth the experience going back to my former school and seeing things have progressed, yet still have the unique angst of UP culture.

Why is it hard to tell the truth? Why can't we all be true to ourselves and just be frank in delivering the news no matter how hard it may seem? Is it fair to let the recipient unravel the truth by his own even when we already know the truth? Would delaying the delivery of the news a lesser evil you have to take?
A lot of information came after I thought everything was over. Details of the mess came pouring like rain and all I did was close my eyes and thought about how horrible it was. I was so immune to all the deceit and the willful act to cover the truth, that upon hearing from a friend, it just feels like another one of those things that I ought to know but I knew last. I was so numb to the whole experience having been in the same situation a couple times already. It was just truth revealed when it has reached its expiration and lost its relevance.
It was a story of a break-up at a coffee shop (my favorite place at that!) between pseudo-lovers because she was able to confirm the deceit there and then with the help of her partner's cellphone. It was so horrible.
Another revelation was about how two friends' relationship crumbled and got compromised because they have the same object of affection. It started as a healthy competition as to who will get hitched. One got ditched, the other got hitched with a different guy. Eventually, it was another friend of theirs who got the guy. Their friendship was put to test resulting to its eventual separation. They are not in speaking terms anymore. So much for a healthy competition.
Another tale was about a person who didn't want to go to the beach because he didn't dig it. He was invited once to go to an island province, where the beach was interestingly beautiful but he shrugged the invitation. He doesn't like the beach, he said. Until his group had an outing to the same island, it was suppose to be an exclusive activity, 'till he convinced the organizer that he tag along a friend. He enjoyed the whole vacation, it looked like he actually liked the beach.
Hearing those stories can really make my day. All those times I have been mute about the things that have been happening and I have closed my ears to the things that I ought to know. I never bothered to ask because I know the truth hurts, but it hurts more if the truth had been kept from you all these time. But what can I do? I'm so used to all the surprises, I can only listen and lower the respect that I used to give.

I feel honored to be one of the invited guests to our Operations Manager's place at St. Michaels in Talamban. It was a party of sorts for selected people in our account. For whatever reason, David invited us to come to his place and just chilled for the night before our shift starts at 1 am. We were all short of sleep since we just came from work on the morning of yesterday and we still had work after the party. Finding the invitation irrisistable, I managed to wake up by 6 pm and dragged myself to the location along with my nocturnal workmates at his place. The priviledged few who were there were SOIC Chi, Team Leads Eric, Tin, John and Lloyd and agents Biboy, Fritzie, Lyndon, April and Me. Its not everyday that you get an invitation to the private place of you OM, aight? So I indeed felt honored to be part of the guest list.
His place was very cozy and big enough to accomodate all of us. The interior was minimalist with asian inspiration. A big Thai shelf with intricate details dominated the living room, and the equally big mirror with draft wood borders added more space to the area. The wooden furniture set in the dining area was also awesome and his kitchen was fully furnished as well. A tour on the rooms awed us because of the queen sized beds and it was really nice. Very tempting to sleep and just forget there was a party. Haha. A zen garden can be found at the back of the house and a swimming pool laid near the patio. If that were my place, I swear I can hold a party every night!
TLs John and Tin brought some toasted french bread from Cafe Georg and the dips were superb (spinach and mushroom with cheese). It was our starter, good thing they brought one lest we would have starved. David asked TLs John and Eric to get food to go. They ordered food from Big Mao and we really had a feast on 5000 bucks worth of food. The main course included breaded ostrich, shrimp maki, beef, noodles and more. Food was great and we were so full. Dessert was mango float, chocolate cake and apple pie. I can barely finish my dessert because I was so darn full! Good thing nicotine had been proven to be of help after a good dinner! Haha!
After the eating and the talking (which had to be in English by the way, since our OM is american), we cam whored for a while (read: documentation, haha!) and we chilled at his living room. 3 hours past the partying, we decided to call it a night for our OM (unfair though cause it was already his night off!) because we all need to go to work. It was fun till it lasted and I really had a great night. Until we had to go to work.... haha!

What's in a name? Whenever i'm introduced the first thing people would ask me is the etymology of my name. I go by the nickname Achoo. Sounds rather weird and filthy, but interesting and unique. I got this helluva moniker when I was a freshman (fresh? yah..man? i doubt it! haha) at UP Cebu. For perversely abusing the word "Achoo cho cho" in refence to just every nonsense that my oral faculty could utter, i was christened "Achoo!" "I object!", the only legal jargon i've known, was a natural reaction. But i succumbed to the idea, when everyone called me such term of endearment (i'd like to believe it as such). So what's in a name? Hmmm... i don't know. Go figure. And oh, by the way, my real name is Ronald Harayo.
